About the Speaker

Engr. Escorial, being the Deputy Executive Director of the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) of the Department of Science and Technology, assists the Executive Director in promoting and strengthening government, academe, and business sector collaborations in Research and Development/Science and Technology Innovation initiatives. She performed a key role in the formulation and implementation of high impact programs of the Council.

Deputy Executive Director Escorial is a graduate of Chemical Engineering at the University of Santo Tomas and has a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the De La Salle University, Manila. She works closely with the PCIEERD Executive Director in the formulation, recommendation and implementation of approved policies, plans, programs, and projects needed for the effective functioning of the Council.

As one of her important role, Deputy Executive Director Escorial actively participates in local and foreign conferences, meetings, and seminars; negotiates and work out technical assistance programs from developed countries in the different specialized fields within the delineated sectors of PCIEERD.

Today, Deputy Executive Director Escorial continues to serve the Council in nurturing capacities that involves science, technology, and business ecosystems that contribute to the creation of new knowledge, anticipating that such value-adding Science and Technology innovations will be converted into the mainstream of the business economy.
