Supporting faculty inventors, principal investigators, and laboratory directors in protecting scientific intellectual property and licensing technologies.
The College of Science is committed to translating faculty research into tangible societal value. The CS Innovation Committee provides end-to-end guidanceāfrom preliminary prior art search and Invention Disclosure filing to customer discovery and industry partnership agreements.
All faculty members and researchers should review the established college guidelines governing intellectual property and research classification:
Direct assistance in drafting Invention Disclosure Forms (IDFs) and coordinating with the UP Diliman Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO).
Matching lab technologies with potential industry and government adopters to validate market demand and deployment requirements.
Periodic review of completed DOST, CHED, and internal research terminal reports to identify patentable components.
Inclusion in the CS Innovation Program Featured Technologies directory, annual Innovation-Research Fair, and iStories seminar series.
Schedule a confidential consultation with the Technology Management team under the Office of the Associate Dean for Research and Extension.
