Session Abstract
ROAM is the first Filipino-made air quality monitoring device, with performance at par with contemporary aerosol monitoring devices used in industry and the DENR EMB. It is a simple measurement idea that started in 2014 and turned into innovation – a synergy of scientific inquiry and the enabling capacity of engineering. ROAM has been deployed in numerous locations and is now being configured for adoption by local government units. In its 12th year since its conception, Project ROAM is a story of how simple ideas can turn into meaningful technologies.
